Easter Polka Dot Nails

I wanted my nails to be Easter-y, but not too Easter-y.  Does that make sense? I did some quick polka dots using a few pastels and added a bit of glitter at the end too.  I think next time, I would keep layering more dots until you couldn't see any of my natural nail underneath.  Here is what I used:

I used a paper towel, folded in half twice for my palette. First, I started with a base coat of clear OPI Natural Nail Strengthener.  Using one color at a time, I dribbled some polish onto it and then using the end of a bent bobby pin, I dipped into the polish and dabbed the 'dots' on each nail.  Here is my mess at the end (really, not that bad!):

I took an Instagram pic of my nails with the Easter wreath on my front door...they matched perfectly:

Are you doing anything festive for your nails this weekend?

  3. Maribeth, this is adorable & inspired! Love the dots, love the delicate glittery top coat and love the instagram pic! PS: From what little I could see, that ring is absolutely stunning! Happy Easter, my friend (mine falls next week this year, but that's ok; I get to buy all my Easter chocolates on sale, lol!)
