Jelly/Glitter Nail Polish Sandwich With Wet N Wild "2% Milk" and "Correction Tape"

I was feeling sandwich-y today and I also wanted to try Wet N Wild's "2% Milk" Megalast nail polish that I had waiting around for me:

Here are 2 layers of "2% Milk", a sheer beige with a slight jelly-like feel to it:
This polish is so nice and clean looking!  A great formula too for a sheer.  This is slightly less white than Essie's "Allure", my favorite "my nails but better" polish:

Then I did one layer of "Correction Tape" on top (this polish was limited edition in the fall, but the new Spoiled line at CVS has the same polish only it's called "Trust Fund Baby"...do not be confused though, because Spoiled also has a polish with this same name, Correction Tape, as well.  Yeah, a little recycling going on over at Wet N Wild/Spoiled HQ):

Then to top it off, I did one more layer of 2% Milk:

Mmmmm...sandwich.

I enjoyed how the last layer of 'Milk' seemed to make the colors contrast more somehow.  Have you ever worn a glitter/jelly sandwich?

  7. Nice sandwich! I admit I've never given 2% Milk a second glance, so had no idea it was a) sheer and b) so well behaved.

  8. How absolutely pretty this is - I love it! 2% Milk reminds me of one of OPI's new Ballet Collection soft shades - similar tone & jelly-look to it! Maribeth, every time I see one of your layering or "sandwich" posts, you make me want to go and make my own version, lol! Love, love, loved this!

  9. Okay, I need them both. Correction Tape looks way better under 2% Milk than it does as a top coat.

So the new job is still going well. I have ANOTHER interview in the morning for the makeup counter job. It's still at the same department store I'm at now, but I would get commission too. Which I really want! I'll let you know THIS interview goes, haha.

  13. I realize I'm posting on this months after the fact, but I have to say.

    THIS. IS. EXCELLENT!

I own the W'n'W glitter polish, I just need to get my hands on 2% Milk (I lol'ed as I typed that polish name) and I will definitely be re-creating this! With credit to you, of course.

  14. I've been dying to do a jelly sandwich lately and after going through my polishes, I pulled out these exact 2! Then, I did a google search to see if I could find photos of others that may have tried this combo and came across SOOOO many! Seems like a popular choice and I don't blame anyone because, it's GORGEOUS! And yours is a beautiful example of it. :) Thanks so much for the post!

PS. Another great jelly to use with this glitter is Essie Secret Story. It's a squishy, shiny bright bubblegum pink. Perfect. :) I'm going to be using that as my accent nail for my 2% Milk mani. :) Thanks again! xo

  15. Was so excited to see this post. Thank you so much. Just LOVE the look of transparent pink on nails. My go-to fav of sheer pink transparent polish was Nail Saavy from Sally Beauty. Sadly, it was discontinued (like most things that I love). Can't wait to try the 2% milk. Thanks for sharing!
