Icing "After Party" Nail Polish

How's your Saturday going?  Is it hot like mine??  I am not cut out for mid-90's.  If the heat could just peak at 80, I'd be happy.  Well that's all my pissing & moaning for today :D

Here is another nail polish from Icing!  "After Party" is a multi-colored, shard type glitter in a clear base.  I used one layer on top of 3 layers of Petites "Utopia":

"Utopia" is a teal polish with a duochrome flash.  It can look turquoise and then dark blue depending on the lighting:

 Topped with "After Party":

This picture is with no flash, which makes it look crappy indoors, however- I like how you can see the contrast of the glitter vs Utopia here. This is closer to what this combo looks like in "real life":

I really love Icing polishes.  I feel like they stay "up" with trends and keep things interesting. I will leave you with a parting shot of my lil Sister's nails.  She was visiting me and we used Icing "Lipstick & Lovers" on her nails, which I hear tell is pretty close to Butter London "Disco Biscuit":

Enjoy the rest of your weekend!

    1. I can't take it! I think today is "only" going to be 80's, so that's a little better. Stay cool!

  2. It's literally hot as balls down here, 98+. Ridiculous. Penguins aren't meant to be in such high temperatures.

I wish I had an Icing because all the polishes I've seen of theirs are gorgeous! Love shredded glitters too.

    1. They are seriously awesome and I hate that I don't have one close by. I stalk them when I visit my family out of state, or send my sister on missions to find colors for me :)

  5. You know what this combo reminded me of? Christmas! So festive! Love that teal shade underneath, but then you know all about me and my teal/aqua fixation, lol! Your sister's nail colour really does look quite a bit like Disco Biscuit! PS: wait until you see the Fall Butter London shades....and that's all I'm saying! ;)

  6. I have two Icing polishes that I inherited from a pre-teen I used to babysit for. She didn't want them anymore (*ahem* she wasn't allowed to keep them because she broke her mom's "no shopping for or playing with make-up without permission" rule, which to be honest, I thought was reasonable for a 9-year-old), but she was allowed to "gift" them to me and got permission to let me paint her nails. I never would have bought the brand myself, but I figured they'd be good for nail art experimenting. Every time I use them, I'm pleasantly surprised by the formula! Even the brush isn't too terrible, just a little wobbly and moppy. I have "Teal for Real," which I think might be a China Glaze "Custom Kicks" dupe, and "Hot Date."
