Kiss Nail Dress (Jeweled Strips) in "Baby Doll"

I finally tried some of these nail "strips" that many brands (even OPI) have been offering up lately.  These are basically sheets of nail polish with designs that you stick on your nails.   I decided to try these ones by Kiss called "Nail Dress" (This design is called "Baby Doll").   I had really no interest in these before because they are meant for people who do not want to change their nail polish often- and that's not me since I polish my nails about 5 times a week on average :D  We were recently traveling, visiting my family in Massachusetts (and celebrating the arrival of my new niece!) and I decided it was the perfect time to try these since I wouldn't have much time for nails.

The pack comes with 28 strips in various sizes.  You peel off the size that is closest to your nail, press on and then fold over the tops.  Once folded over, you take a file (they include one in the package) and file off the excess strip.  I usually have quite a difficult time fitting my nails into pre-set size situations, but these were easy for me to find matches with.
Here's how they looked!  My pointer had a little bubble at the top that I couldn't quite smooth out, but I chalk that up to the fact that that particular nail was peeling badly that day, and was uneven to begin with.  Other than that, they applied very smoothly:

I loved the design on these....it reminds me of fizzy bubbles.  There is definitely a texture to them- they almost feel like teeny tiny bubble wrap bubbles!

So these say that they are good to wear for up to 10 days.  I made it through 2 entire days before I peeled them off.  It's mainly because I am a "picker", and if I sense that there is anything thick on my nail bed, it drives me bananas and I start picking the edges (the same thing I used to do back in the day when I wore acrylics).  I just HAVE to pick!    They seemed very durable, for the 2 days that I did wear them though- I thought for sure they wouldn't last through hand washing and showering and everything else you do throughout the day with your hands, but-they did.  I got many compliments on them as well!

Are these for you?  Only if you like your polish to last (who doesn't? Well, besides me that is) and if you don't mind a slightly thicker polish feeling :D

What do think of these?

    1. Yes! Me too. One chip on one nail and I am doomed to pick it all off by the end of the day. Good news is we save on polish remover; bad news, it makes our nails peel instead. Aw well. I can't stop! hahaha

  3. I've tried that brand too and they didn't quite last 4 days on me, but I am a fan of nail strips since I travel a lot!

    1. If I made a very conscious effort to not pick, I could probably do 4 days :) They are so perfect for traveling!

    1. They weren't bad to file down....I thought it would be horrible and ragged, but everything looked smooth when I was done.

  6. What! Those only lasted 2 days? Dude you're crazy for picking those off. When I go away I use the sally ones which I love just so I don't have to worry about my mani, then again I never really feel the need to pick at my polish unless there's a gait chip in it. Well at least you liked it for as long as you had them on for.

  8. I really like Sally Hansen's strips, but I am the same way. I change polish too often to pay the price they cost and only wear them for a day or two.

  9. Not really my thing, but I like them on you. I think the champagne base compliments the crystals well.

  10. I found these really simple to use. I had a hard time with the Sally Hansen ones, but I love this brand. I don't use them often, but they are great to have on backup when you need cute nails in a hurry!

  11. GAH......I can't believe how far behind I am on my commenting & you've been quite the busy bee during my absence (blame the beach, my friend!). You know what this reminds me of? Juicy raindrops! And I can't believe how much I love it - me, the colour purist! Go figure!
