First, here is the color "Immortal". WOW. This is super pretty. A steel gray teal with the most amazing hidden "flecks" of shimmer:
I thought for a second that this color might be close to another China Glaze polish, "Elephant Walk" (Safari Collection, Fall 2012). Turns out they are very complimentary to each other, but definitely not twins:
Next we have "Bizarre Blurple"- 'blurple' of course referring to that blue/purple combo that leads us to always be confused when trying to label or sort our polishes. Is it blue? Is it purple? It's both! This polish is so saturated and applied beautifully:
Again, I wondered- "Do I have a polish like this?". I thought maybe OPI's "Into The Night" (Spiderman collection, 2012) may be similar, but the aren't close at all:
I didn't do a full manicure with "Glitter Goblin" alone (Hey, I have to conserve this beauty!), but here it is on one nail:
Then we have "Cast A Spell", a murky, blackened greenish gold fleck polish. I loved this one so much more than I thought I would. Perfection for Halloween:
Next I added one layer of "Make A Spectacle" (also from this collection) on top and OMG! This is a killer combo:
Then, there's "Roguish Red", the one polish I thought I could do without, yet as soon as I put it on, I fell in love. It's a neon pumpkin color. This is the type of color that makes your nails look sleek in an instant!
I've been in an "accent nail" sort of mood lately, and since this was the color I decided to keep on once I was done swatching, I decided to see how "Make A Spectacle" would look as an accent. It was cool to see how much gold came out when the glitter was put on top of a warm color:
When I looked into my polish drawers to pull out glitters to compare to "Make A Spectacle", my mouth sort of dropped:
Things that make you go, "hmmmm...". Do I really need this many similar glitters?! I had to compare, and what better way to do so than over black creme polish. I am happy to report for you fellow nail polish hoarders that YES, you DO need all of these and can easily justify owning them all.
Here's my comparison:
There you have it! What do you think of this collection? Which ones are your favs, and do you plan on picking any up?
