China Glaze Hologlam Nail Polish Collection (Pictures, Swatches, Review)

Hi friends!

Today I have 3 polishes from China Glaze's new Hologlam collection to show you! These have been quite anticipated in the nail world. What's makes them so special? They each have a holographic finish. I have to admit, I am kind of in love with holographic nail polish....there is something so hypnotizing about the finish, especially when the sun hits!  Safety note: Fight the urge to look at your nails while driving ;-) They can be distracting!

While photographing these 3 colors, I did something I usually don't do- I went photo crazy. Well, more like photo INSANE.  So I will apologize in advance for all of these extra pictures....I just couldn't help myself.

Each picture is shown with 2 layers of polish. It's best to wait until the first layer is completely dry, because these holo nail polishes can be finicky application-wise:

Fist is Don't Be A Luna-tic, a light, powdery blue steel holographic polish:

Next is Not In This Galaxy, a rosy coral holo. So super pretty, I think this one is my favorite of the 3 I picked up:

And last, we have Get Outta My Space, a dusty, light lavender. Beauteous!

Final thoughts? I love these. They are fun, springy and add just enough sparkle to your day.  These retail for a tad bit more than a "regular", non-holographic polish, presumably because the materials required to make this type of product cost more, but Sally's has a sale going on this month - buy 2 polishes, get 1 free - so that takes the sting out of the cost a little! (Suggested retail price = $14)

What is your opinion on holographic nail polish? Will you be trying any from this new collection? Do you have any from China Glaze's past holo collections?

  1. I wish the holo was stronger in these! They are pretty colors though.

  2. I like them b/c they are holo, but I don't like the price tag!

  3. Yeee... the holo isn't strong enough for me

  4. Great swatches, I really like the purple.

  5. I love the pictures I've seen from this collection. I can't wait to get my hands on my own :)
