Nail time! I admittedly bought this China Glaze Ombre set from Sally's with no intent of actually 'ombre-ing' with it- I figured since the set was on sale and I had a coupon, it was a great way to buy 4 polishes. After I got home, I realized that it came with sponges to do the gradient/ombre effect. I started reading the instructions and figured I may as well give it a go at least once.
|Colors included (L-R) White On White, Sun Worshiper, Pool Party, Flying Dragon|
After painting my nails white and then sponging on the colors, I topped it with China Glaze Fairy Dust and then some top coat:
Very 'sun-setty', no?
Now that I've tried this and actually enjoyed the outcome, I have a feeling I will be ombre-ing it up with other color combinations!
If you want a better understanding of how to achieve this type of effect, check out my pal Nory's video tutorial here: http://www.fiercemakeupandnails.com/2013/07/sparkly-summer-gradient-video-tutorial.html
Have a fun day!!
