OPI Launches Two New Gift Sets For Holiday 2013 (Nail Polish Pictures & Review)

Press Sample

Howdy! Today we are gonna talk about 2 new awesome gifts sets that OPI is releasing for Holiday 2013. It's kind of scary how fast the holiday season is creeping up on us. I mean, it's almost Halloween and you know how everything just speeds up after that!

The first gift set is called Top This! and it features 3 full sized top coats; one 'regular' top coat, one matte top coat, and exclusive, *only available in this set* glitter top coat called Snowflakes In The Air :

First, here's the original OPI Top Coat over black (OPI Onyx):

Next, I did one layer of Snowflakes In The Air over black. This glitter topcoat has silver glitters in different sizes that flash a gorgeous, multi-colored sparkle when the light hits them just right:

And lastly, I topped 'Snowflakes...' with the OPI Matte Top Coat. OMG! I really am in love with this particular look. The matte top coat sort of tamed the mulit-colored-ness of the glitter, making them appear mostly plain silver. This is a really fun way to wear glitter:

The second gift set is called Take Ten and it features 10 mini sized polishes (now sporting mini Pro wide brushes for the first time) in classic, best selling OPI shades:

The top row has all the soft, neutral tones (colors are Pirouette My Whistle; Alpine Snow; Bubble Bath; Tickle My France-y; and You Don't Know Jacques), while the bottom row includes some darks and reds (Cajun Shrimp; Big Apple Red; Malaga Wine; Lincoln Park After Dark). OPI really thought of everything with this set and they even gave you the option of separating the packs for easy gift giving- both sets can be removed separately:

Because I've already swatched a majority of these polishes on my blog in the past, I didn't swatch them this time around. (Hint: Top Ten may pop up in a giveaway very, very soon! Be on the look out!)

What are your thoughts on OPI's newest Holiday gift sets?

  1. I like them both. I would probably go with the Take Ten. I don't care for the matte glitter thing.

  2. They're both so special and would make the BEST gifts for any nail polish lover! I haven't had a chance to swatch mine yet, but I have several combo ideas running through my head...

I absolutely love mattifying glitters; makes every single piece stand out even more, but in a classier way! Gorgeous swatches, my friend!

  4. I love both sets. They are perfect for gift giving and affordable too. I already have all but 2 of the top ten and I really don't need the top coat or the matte coat in the trio, but I do want that glitter polish and I will buy the whole set just to get it. Then I can just put the top coat and matte coat in my dupe/giveaway drawer.
