Twinsie Tuesday: Holiday Gift (Plus-- Don't Forget To Enter Our Giveaway!)

Hello! I hope this post finds you full of turkey and ready to take on the rest of the holidays! I've been on a little blogging break over here, but I'm ready to get back into it now that we have Thanksgiving behind us!

Today's Twinsie Tuesday theme is "Holiday Gift"; each of us were paired up and we had to assign a "gift" of a manicure idea. My gift came from Chichi and she prompted me to create a manicure based on a favorite holiday ornament.  I have had sooooo many favorites over the years. One in particular was a little wooden stocking with my name, spelled correctly, on it that my aunt gave me. It also has the year, "1983", on it as well which means I was 4 when she gave it to me. Even back then, I appreciated that I had a personalized ornament with my named spelled right (thanks to my somewhat unique spelling, I could never find a damn pen or mug for myself like everyone else!). I was going to attempt something to honor that ornament, but it is literally wood with black writing and a green string- not very manicure-y. So I decided to go with the ornaments that I've always been fascinated with, yet petrified of- glass ones! You know, those bulb shaped, shiny, fancy, swirly, glittery ones you are always drawn to, and even though you mother warns you that they are very breakable, you still can't resist picking them up? (and subsequently dropping and smashing into 1,000,000 pieces)? Those. That's the first thing I thought of when I opened my new Incoco nail appliques and saw this design. I had to put it on immediately:

This design is called "Merry & Bright"

Some more Incoco offerings :)

Incoco nail polish appliques are one of my absolute favorite things. Can we talk about the fact that in the photo above, I was going on day 4 of wearing them? There was almost no visible wear! These are an amazing product that I highly recommend!  (They can be purchased from their website here).

Be sure to stop by and visit the rest of the gals to see what "gift" they were given this week!

  8. Oooh, I know exactly the kind of ornament you're talking about! I want to buy a million of them and cover my little, tiny tree in hand-blown gorgeousness, but I just know I would destroy them all.

I haven't tried any nail strips at all yet, but I've heard consistently good things about Inoco, and this is a great design for the holidays!
